Thanksgiving Feast

Parents, please refer to list below to see what you signed up to bring for our Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 25th from 11:30 to 12:10. Is there anyone who can make mashed potatoes? Also, please be sure that all ingredients are PEANUT AND TREE NUT FREE! Any ingredient labels need to be cut out and sent in with the dish to pass. Thanks for your understanding!

Today we made Thanksgiving placemats for Meals on Wheels with our third grade buddies.

FYI

Math: Tonight your child is bringing home their Unit 3 review sheet. Please go over this review with them. Tomorrow we will take the test.

Science: Last week we began our next science unit on Organisms. We have learned about living things. Today we planted seeds to help further our study on living things.

Report Card Envelopes: Please make sure to sign the front of your child's report card envelope and return it to school as soon as possible.

Reading: Thank you for continuing to read with your child each night. Please look for their bag-o-books at least once a week for books we have read in class. Your child should read this book to you, a sibling, or a friend for their homework that night.

Today we played a game in math. We had to count pennies, nickels, and dimes. Parents....we are reading to go shopping!

Don't forget tomorrow is our field trip to McDonald's. Please wear your class t-shirts. All parents who have volunteered to walk with us, please come to our room at 11:10. See you tomorrow!

Conferences: Please be sure to sign up for a conference time. The sign up sheets are in the main lobby. Conferences are Wednesday, November 12 from 5-8, and Thursday, November 13, from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m.

Election Day: Today we learned all about the election tomorrow. Look for the work your child did tonight in their homework folder.

Math: Your child has three homelink assignments tonight. First, they will need to complete homelink 3.7 and then do homelink 3.8 which is two pages.

Field Trip: Just a reminder that our field trip to McDonald's is this Thursday, at 11:15. If you have volunteered to join us please come to our classroom around 11:10. Your child will need to wear his/her class t-shirt on that day along with a pair of comfortable shoes.
